Every Friday night at gadgetshop HQ a hush descends as the shutters come down and the lab technicians plan their weekend festivities on the terraces of Stevenage Borough, East Kilbride Thistle and the myriad other teams my colleagues have supported since boyhood. Most of those teams, of course, are rubbish. So it's only for the really big games that we come together as a group to talk tactics. And there's no better way to do it than to do it as Jose himself would do it. With a board and some magnets. Now we can all put ourselves in the shoes of the great managers, and John Barnes, as we pit strategic wits against the opposition. It's reds against blues. Blues against reds. (Supporters of all other colours must imagine themselves into these shades - a touch tricksy if you support Norwich, Watford or Celtic, for example. But a fertile imagination is a wonderful thing).
