If At First You Don't Succeed, Try Management Metal - Office Sign
Gadget No. 0380
Now of course there are many reasons why one would miss out on a promotion. An ill-timed joke about a nun and some honey, for instance. Or an uncanny ability to show one's posterior in public. Or, in fact, anything naughty when in the presence of a client.
But there's more than a grain of truth in this highly original - and highly accurate - but nonetheless fictitious piece of office signage. Let's look, for instance, at the notorious Peter Principle of 1968. Postulated by one Dr Laurence J Peter, it propounds that in a hierarchy, every employee is promoted to the level of his or her incompetence. So, in other words, the higher you go in an organisation, you're eventually found to be one step above where your natural ability should take you.
So not only is it hilariously funny when positioned in a strategically placed spot. It also happens to be true.
Now this adage is immortalised on high quality metal signage, there's an even more uncompromising feel to it. So do be sure to place them somewhere that guarantees maximum visibility.
Now, whether a chum simply needs to be taught a lesson, or whether the whole office needs to be perked-up, this insightful signage will jolly well be just the trick.
