Mr Bump, as we recall, had a profound inner ear problem that rendered him continually off-balance. Either that or he was addicted to Special Brew. Whatever the cause of his congenital staggering, one distinctly recalls that he was a walking disaster area, permanently bandaged and often in pain. Bless.

In the classic story from the early 1970s, Monsieur Malchance (as he is known in France), has all manner of nasty falls. He's positively at his wit's end when revelation strikes (literally) and he ends up as a highly-paid Apple Farming Executive in Mr Barley's apple orchard.

Now you can give Mr Bump the TLC he surely deserves courtesy of this faithfully-reproduced, and eminently cuddlesome 20cm tall version of the world-famous character. (Indeed, in some parts of the world, he is known as Mr Damage, rather more appropriate to gangsta rap, we feel). Now you can put right all the wrongs heaped on him by giving him a dashed good hug.

From the stable of the late, venerable (and much lamented) Roger Hargreaves, this fetching little number features in an ultra-plush set of Little Misses and Mister Men destined to bring a touch of nostalgia to bear on a modern bedroom of children's room. Reeking of some of the most memorable kids' books and TV of the 70s and 80s, buy one of these and you'll be hearing Arthur Lowe in your head for days. Oh yes.
