At the end of Bullseye, a classic and long-running 1980s TV gameshow, crestfallen losing finalists were shown not the prize they had won (say, the matching fridge-freezer and microwave set), but the prize they could have won (usually a caravan, speedboat or Vauxhall Nova) as the credits rolled and theme tune tinkled.

Now, standing on the threshold of the oche to do battle with a bit of Bully takes on a whole new meaning with the latest in video-game inspired, err, reality. Tag 'Em is an ever-so-interactive two-person shoot-em up darts game in which you are the target.

Donning a highly responsive protective vest and equipped with a sub-machinegun-like blaster that dispenses micro-darts in rounds of ten, you're then able to run around your Semi-D (imagining it to be a disused warehouse in Detroit) taking pops at your similarly equipped opponent.

The clever technology is in the vest, which knows where and when you've been hit, keeping track of the score in so doing. Of course, any game involving ammunition is going to require some seriously cool safety shades, and these will have you looking like a cross twixt Bono and Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf.

All one then needs to do is find that disused warehouse, grab a chum, lock, load and run like crazy shouting 'One hundred and eighteeee' at the very top of one's voice. Smashing.
