Welcome to the Space Hopper time machine - a continuum-busting time warp all the way back to the mid 1970s. As well as time travel, this gadget is also capable of provoking extreme sensory recall: it's simply impossible to mount one of these without the sound of Marc Bolan or Showaddywaddy in your ears and the feint smell of Spangles in your nostrils.
