Mini Homersapien
Gadget No. 0594
Meet Homersapien - Springfield's answer to The Terminator, a fusion of high technology and doughnut-addled yellow cartoon icon. It's the pure BEAM technology inside his custardy outer that sets him aside from other animated lookylikies, giving him an innate cleverness that almost makes him more intelligent than the original Homer himself. Almost. Pioneered by NASA robotics boffin Mark Tidlen who spent a significant chunk of his life building a robot to go to Mars, Homersapien is an altogether more grounded affair. His inner brain of pure BEAM greatness - that's Biology, Electronics, Aesthetics and Mechanics to you and me - relies on hard-wired electronic circuitry modelled on biological life forms, giving his movements an unmistakable realness.
All of which makes Homer the direct descendent of the ground-breaking RoboSapien, embodying much of the million dollar's-worth of innovation that went into the original. As a direct result, he is animated by a fully motorised walking motion, that you, like us, will find scarily realistic. That's not all. No sir. Slider-activated arm movement and push-operated pincers render Homer capable of gripping light objects. Such as mini doughnuts. Oh no. Did someone say... Look, he's off... It's like he has a mind of his own... He's heading for Mars... SOMEONE STOP HIM...D'oh!
