If you've got an ever-changing mood, as our current favourite artiste Mr Paul Weller would once have had it, then salvation from the miseries of office life is at last at hand. And it's at hand in the form of a 12 centimetre - and remarkably authentic - plastic chameleon.

So lifelike was our model, that colleague Simon had to be stopped from attempting a live autopsy on his workbench here in the lab at gadgetshop HQ. Only the absence of a scalpel prevented him from going to work. He later received a verbal warning, you'll be pleased to hear.

Designed to perch gracefully atop your flat panel monitor, Cammy, as we christened ours (when he was wrested from Simon's clutches) plugs directly into your computer's USB port and performs a variety of stunningly realistic Chameleon-like tasks, including randomly rolling his eyes (usually in opposite directions), sticking his tongue out in search of flies and generally doing whatever Chameleons do. Except change colour, which he avoids, lest it should mess-up his electronic innards.

In fact, Cammy has become an honorary member of the gadgetshop technology evaluation team, eyeballing the ladies as they enter the lab and tirelessly assisting in the search for flies. Cammy rocks, it would be fair to say.
