Liquid Image Underwater Camera Mask
Gadget No. 0342
Those clever little Japanese have been at it again. Not content with vending machines for the dispensing of schoolgirls' knickers and an unfathomable interest in baseball, they've now taken to inventing wearable cameras. Wearable underwater cameras. Golly.
This device has to be one of the most innovative to emerge from the laboratories of the greater Yokohama area since Akio Nintendo was a lad. Looking for all the world like the kind of sub-aqua kit that would be worn by a three-eyed alien invader, these uber-goggles will capture the beauty of the underwater world as you explore it.
No need for a separate camera. No need for special swimming strokes or a dainty underwater bag. Just good old fashioned snorkelling skills. And once you've mastered those, anyone can be an aquatic David Bailey.
Using advanced CMOS sensing technology at either 3.1 or 5 megapixel resolution, the in-built camera comes complete with 16Mb of in-built memory; a microSD card slot, a USB port, VGA video mode... and even its own LCD screen. Meanwhile, tempered glass viewing panes keep your eyes nice and dry, enabling you to focus on getting the reef ahead of you fully in shot.
One is tempted to say 'Only in Japan', of course. But this magnificent device is one highly creative invention with a real, practical purpose. And delivered, we should say, with quite a bit of style, too.
Konichiwa. And say cheese, while you're about it.
