For the honest players out there, we have the solution they need to thwart a cheat. It's called Incred-a-ball and here is how it works.

When you press the remote control, the ball spins around in all directions as if possessed. Take it with you in your caddy and when you suspect your fellow player of reporting fewer strokes or faking his handicap (or simply when you could use a little extra help with your score), swap his ball for this one to teach him a lesson.
