As a consequence of working with the legendary gadgestshop HQ, we have witnessed a multitude of Monopolies. World Monopoly, Disney Monopoly, even the uber modern Chip and Pin Monopoly. Yet our manly exteriors were partially corroded as we fought to suppress a bemused smile on encountering this version of the boardgame.

This is Monopoly like you have never seen it. You see, this is a cleverly-compiled version of Monopoly in a fetching shade of girly pink. Carefully thought-out and lovingly put together, one can buy boutiques and malls, go on a shopping spree, pay mobile phone bills and recieve text messages.

The game is stored in a beautiful keepsake box which doubles as a jewellery box. Naturally, all of the new playing pieces can be attached to a charm bracelet which our colleague Simon just had to try on for size and sport somewhat proudly.

The new girly Monopoly is dangerously addictive, but some faithful old rules apply. Don't imagine for a second that your lovely niece and her chums are as sweet and innocent as they seem. And do not, whatever you do, pass go.
