Aurora Touch Clock

On this amazing website, dedicated as it is, to all things of a technical nature, we are a touch fond of clocks. We have clocks that project. Clocks that forecast the weather. Clocks that go off like a bomb in your underpants. Clocks with a binary display. And clocks that even tell the time.

So we are indeed a touch fond of clocks. But we are even fonder of clocks you can touch. Take this helpfully-named Aurora Touch Clock, for instance. It is sturdily built from funky and translucent, if somewhat pervy, rubber. It has a backlit LCD display, presenting the current temporal status (in time and date mode) in a crisp and clear manner. It operates as an alarm, too, just in case you ever needed to get up in the morning.

But this clock goes further, with stunning inbuilt illumination that will, on your command, subtly bring a room to life in the dead of night. The Aurora Touch comes complete with three highly visual settings:

1. Set it to change colour every hour, on the hour
2. Set it to show off with a dazzling light show, phasing through its dynamic colour sequence
3. Switch the LED light to standby mode to conserve battery power. To activate in a darkened bedroom, simply touch the clock.

Furthermore, on activation of the sonic alarm, the unit also illuminates, rousing you from your slumber with a veritable son et lumiere redolent of Jean Michel Jarre (minus the synthesisers, sequencers and high camp, of course).
